As a Child, I remember wishing upon dozens of seeded dandelions that filled the pasture that was our backyard in sleepy 1979 Olympia, Washington.. A six year old connoisseur of ‘all things ice cream’ I’d arrange to have my wishes delivered to various secret locations around our rural neighborhood. The ‘wishes’ or ‘winnings’ were always the same, 3 gallon containers of my ice cream favorites. Promptly, I would depart to claim what was rightfully mine. Never did I think it wasn’t delivered. I was only disappointed that the neighbor kid had to have gotten to it first..
